GLOBAL PRESENCE

At present, 30 per cent to 35 per cent of the production of Lijjat Papad is being exported. Lijjat started exporting its products with the help of merchant importers in the United Kingdom, the United States, the Middle East, Singapore, the Netherlands Thailand, and other countries.
Among the scores of awards (By National and International agencies), the milestones are:-

• “Best Village Industry” award (1998 to 2001) presented by the Khadi & Village Industries Commission – a subsection of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India.
• Businesswomen of the Year for Corporate Excellence” (2002), given by the Economic Times
• At the National Convention on "Rural Industrialisation", held by Khadi & Village Industries Commission along with Ministry of Agro and Rural Industries at New Delhi on 14th March 2003, Institution received the "Best Village Industry Institution" award
• Lijjat was praised for its brand development strategy through a “Brand Equity Award” (2005), presented by the Progress, Harmony and Development Chamber of Commerce and Industry, based in New Delhi, India.
• Lijjat Papad has been chosen as a Power Brand 2010-2011 by the Indian Consumer and received the Award on 4th February 2011 in New Delhi

With several other awards for its ethical, business and brand development strategy under its belt, as of 2013 the cooperative had an annual turnover of approximately Rs. 650 crore (roughly US$100 million).

“Lijjat Papad is a sterling example of women entrepreneurship” (as quoted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in  the eighth annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India on 28-30 November, 2017. That year's Summit highlighted the theme Women First, Prosperity for All)
